C'mon The Toon (Tipton that is) - Walsall Here We Come!!!
Little bit of footie news I must share with you. Last night the lads from Tipton Town FC did the town proud as they won themselves a place in the Walsall Senior Cup Final to be played at Walsall Football Ground on Monday 15th May - well done lads. It's Cup Final suits for us all that night (being the 'Dapper Dons' that we are) - please note - these will not be supplied by Nobby Clark via his 'top of the range' de-mob suit collection from 1945 - ha ha ha. Tipton beat Heath Hayes (Cannock) 1-0 in the semi-final played at Heath Hayes ground last night in a hard fought game - and atrocious weather - here's the match report from the TTFC web site http://www.web-teams.co.uk/Match.asp?team=tiptontownfc&mid=match131.xmlIt could be our second appearance in a final at Walsall's Football ground because we're in another semi-final from next Wednesday - 5th April (a two legged affair) against Barwell (Leicestershire) in the Midland Alliance (Polymac) League Cup - the final of this also due to be staged at Walsall FC. We're at home on the 5th - the return leg the following Tuesday in Leicestershire - so get yourselves down the Town next Wednesday night and cheer the lads on...and don't forget - All Road's Lead To Walsall - on Monday 15th May - C'mon the Toon. Congratulations to manager Johnny 'Bonk' Hill all the staff and the players - magic stuff lads...Tipun' forever!! Gary O'Dea
